Lift-up cabinets – the secret to smart storage?

aventos_hk1-1An element of style and functionality is being added to kitchen designs with lift-up cabinet doors. Due to their function, they are a great alternative to traditional overhead doors. Customers choose their cabinets based on usage, needs, and of course- taste!

The advantage of lift-up doors is that they don’t get in the way. When you leave regular cabinet doors open, they can block your view and you hit your head when you’re working. However, lift-up doors are a perfect solution to this problem.

Save Space in Small Kitchens

comnpact-closeup2Rather than opening up many cupboard doors sideways, lift up systems open by folding upwards to create more space in smaller kitchens. They offer a multitude of design possibilities to integrate into your cooking area whilst maximising space. The swing doors of traditional cabinets require more space to open and can potentially obstruct adjacent shelves and cabinets.

Hinged or swing doors of typical kitchen cabinets require more space to open and can potentially obstruct adjacent shelves and cabinets. However, the lift up systems folds up and out of the way.

Integrated Soft Close Features

37_image_3_4Cabinet doors can have quality soft close features for silent opening and closing. The latest technology means no matter how hard you push, the door will glide to a silent close.

Aventos Lift-Up Mechanisms by BLUM

The Aventos HK series are a compacaventos_hkxs4t Lift-Up stay mechanism with sleek and narrow design. It is specifically designed for wall cabinets featuring low heights or shallow depths just like the Semble Compact range.

The mechanism opens with an almost weightless motion. This offers an economical option to smarten up overhead storage in any design.

A spring package ensures high stability and strength. The high-quality of this simple mechanism allows the single unit to be used across the Semble range from our 600mm wide unit to the 1000mm cabinet.

Assembly and adjustment

AVENTOS  components are easy to assemble. Once the lift mechanism has been adjusted to the weight and size of the front, AVENTOS will open, close and hold with reliable ease.

Even simpler; the AVENTOS HK does not need hinges. Designed for simple flat-pack assembly, simply open the box and screw to your pre-drilled cabinet. Simply adjust to suit and you’re complete!

Once installed, you can simply adjust the tension on the arm to allow a perfect motion to be achieved regardless of the door weight and size.

Handle-less Design

tipon_flap1For handle-less integration into your design choose the TIPON option. Thanks to the advancing technology, lift up cabinet systems are a blessing.

Minimum effort is required to open and close. Great for your speciality areas — such as this microwave station — where the door needs to be completely out of the way.
